The music distributors of the magazine are IPC so therefore I feel my magazine would be most suited to be produced by IPC also. NME has a bright and bold front page which gets most viewers attention.
From the front page I can guess :
Audience: Aimed at: Teenagers 15-Early 20's
Age: Teens
Music: Indie
I think what makes this a good front page is the use of a few consistent colours such as purple and yellow, so it is colourful but does not look over the top. The pictures are engaging because it focuses on eye contact. Also features such as Free CD instantly attract a reader. There has been a range of fonts used which makes the text look more varied and interesting.
- 1/2 Page of Images, 1/2 Page of Text
- Big title - Eyecatching
- Small text
- Good plain colourscheme
- Paragraphing
- Subheadings
- They address reader in a chatty style, open lines more storytelling than anything.
