EVALUATION : In what ways does your media product, use develop or challenge forms and media products?

The ways in which the media product uses significant conventions within the publication such as an editor letter it is conventional as most magazines use it as a formal way of introducing new consumers to the magazine also to give previous consumers the chance to see the highlight of the magazine. The double page spread developed because the title was originally in the left hand corner but I then looked through magazines such as NME and realised it was not conventional and so I moved the title to the middle to grab the attention more of the reader. The double page spread has also used a range of informal language because it is a chatty interview to tell us more about the upcoming artist. I have put images next to the text, because it makes it more attractive and breaks up the text making it clearer to read. The front page has lots of sell lines because it is to attract the reader and give them information on the articles inside. I have chose bright colours for my sell lines because it grabs the readers attention and that is the main aim of sell lines throughout other magazines. The language choices I have used within the double page spread has been quite relaxed and similar to the language 16 to 24 year olds use to let them thoroughly understand and are able to relate to the artist more. I have not ignored specific conventional rules however I have a lot of space within the contents page so this maybe quite unusual however it gives the page a clear look compared to a chaotic page.
